Pray

One of the most effective ways you can engage with the world is through prayer — whether it is for a missionary, a people group or a country.

Partners in Prayer
Come travel around the world for one hour to pray for our missionaries and the countries they work in. We meet weekly on Thursdays from 8:30-9:30 a.m. (except for the 5th Thursday of the month) in the Prayer Chapel at Bible Fellowship Church. If you want to receive an e-mail of weekly prayer requests from our missionaries, e-mail knarula@bfconline.org.

How can I pray for missionaries?
Consider some of the issues missionaries contend with: Language barriers, spiritual oppression, cultural disparity, loneliness, political unrest, as well as issues relating to health, marriage, singleness, children, temptation, spiritual growth. Choose one missionary and begin praying on their behalf.

How can I pray for the world?
There are so many needs communicated through our global network, that it’s easy to become overwhelmed and not pray at all. Here are a few tools that might help you as you pray for the nations:

  • Choose a country or people group to focus on.
  • Focus on a particular world religion. Check out www.30-days.net where you can receive a guide to pray for 30 Days for the Muslim World.
  • Global Prayer Digest is a devotional book that gives you a glimpse into what God is doing around the world. To receive a complimentary copy, visit www.global-prayer-digest.org
  • As you read the headlines, pause and pray for the people in those countries that they will come to know the love of Christ.
  • In the Middle East, parts of India, Central Asia, China, and Africa, laws prohibit Christians from evangelizing, and forbid citizens from choosing Christianity over the religion into which they were born. Learn how to pray for the persecuted church at www.persecutedchurch.org
