Support Groups

A variety of support groups are offered year-round at Bible Fellowship Church. Whether you are coping with a chronic illness or an addiction, divorce or loss of a loved-one, you will find compassionate care in one of our support groups.

-Grief Share

Grief is a natural and healthy response to loss. While it is enormously painful, grief means walking through the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23). It can not be ignored or rushed. Sometimes it takes months or even years before we understand the full extent of our losses.

Grief Share is a 12-week walk through this valley with a trained Grief Counselor and a few others who are on their own journey through grief. Together, you will be able to process the many losses that come with a single death, step-by-step, day-by-day, holding God's hand all the way.

This healing workshop is not a cure for your grief—there is no cure for grief. You will always grieve the loss of your loved one. But it is important to keep working through grief until you heal. Healing will let you look back with fondness and forward with new hope. Healing will allow you to find new strengths, talents and skills you didn't even know you had. Most of all, healing will help you remember your loved one with a smile instead of tears. (Margaret Brownley, Grieving God's Way).

This workshop will begin on Tuesday, August 3, at 7 p.m. in Room 302. Material cost is $20. Contact Debi Dixon at 766-4071.
